Coconut shell activated carbon has high hardness, low ash content, well-developed microporous structure and excellent adsorption capacity, which can maintain low wear rate during repeated adsorption and regeneration, and is very suitable for gold adsorption systems (CIP, CIL, CIC).

The common particle sizes are 6×12 mesh and 8×16 mesh. The iodine value is usually above 1000mg/g, the hardness is ≥98%, and the ash content is <3%. These specifications can be customised according to the customer’s gold mining process requirements.

It is mainly judged from the following indicators:
